Lamborghini released a video with a black and a yellow murcielago.
It was the commercial they made for the car.
They are driving through some beautiful landscape with mountains and cracked earth etc. Does anyone know where it was filmed?

Everything you need to know about this film is this (from http://www.lambocars.com/murcielago/murmovie.htm)

The logistics needed to create this very special movie were enormous, two brand new Lamborghini's had to flown in from Europe under strict security measures, since the Murcielago wasn't presented to the public yet at that moment.

Extreme measures were taken to keep these two cars 'top-secret' during their trip, also note that due to the high altitude of the filming grounds, helicopters, pilots and material needed to create 'shots from above' needed to be at a very high level of competency.

The crew to fly such a special helicopter was found in Santiago de Chile, note that it took them 7 hours to arrive at the location, while the special equipment to mount camera's on this helicopter came from Miami.
Other specialized material such as Tracking systems, remote controlled cranes with camera mounts and trailers to transport the two Murcielago's were also required.
The mere fact that this movie was filmed on such a remote located needed full backup systems for the entire camera systems, so a malfunction wouldn't mean the end of the project.

The idea to use HighDefinition recording material was later abandoned, large parts of the movie were however recorded with more than 25 frames per second, also the idea of creating a1 'black on black' look, which could only be realized under extreme lightning was only possible with classic 35mm film.

Some of the keywords for the Murcielago movie were the 'dawn' and 'sunset', naturally this posed large restriction on the time frame they were able to shoot this movie, each single sequence was completely prepared in advance, the locations were determined by GPS and prepared ahead of time, while the actual driving route was repeatedly tried and tested. At that unique moment of the day, when lightning was just right, everyone knew exactly what to do and where to do it, because of this very detailed preparation a total of 10 shots could be made during the sunrise or sunset.

The Murcielago movie was taped at remote locations like the Tatio Geyser or Paso de Jamo, it took the crew over 7 hours to get all the material and the cars on four-wheel drive flatbed trailers into the crater of a volcano or in the ‘Valley of the Monks’, due to the extreme altitude the Lamborghini engineers were rather concerned about their new cars, but they performed very well at these ‘outer limits’.

A cloudless sky didn’t mean the actual filming was easy, at an altitude of 4000 to 5000 meters above sea level, the temperature could drop to –15 degrees Celsius just before sunrise, strong wind and dust didn’t help either, several crewmembers actually had to resort to pure oxygen to keep going.

But the result was magnificent to say the least, and after all, the Murcielago was kept a secret during all this filming, truly an impressive job.

I have only seen two Lamborghini's on the road in my entire life. Fortunately though, we have a Lambo dealership downtown Toronto that has windows around the whole building. You just have to drive by the dealership and you'll see a new Murcielago or Gallardo in the window every week. My dad works near the dealership and while he was taking a walk on his lunch break, he saw someone test driving the new Gallardo.

Lucky you ...

The first time 1 saw a murcielago was 3 weeks ago, I was coming back from 'Salon de l'auto of Bruxelles' and I saw the yellow murcielago and the grey Gallardo (exposed there) passing me ... :)
They were really FAST FAST FAST, the noise was marvellous.

I'm just looking for a free web place to upload some of those pics
