Its a Ford... The motors have been very unreliable, even to the point of having to be replaced.

It has never been as good as the RX7, it doesnt have that something the RX7 had

I know Mazda is more or less under the Ford umbrella, but the RX8 was entirely independently realized at Mazda.

I really don't like what they've done for the new styling though...but I had one for a year and it was a wonderful thing to drive, very neutral, finely-balanced, but it could certainly use more power and a bit less weight.

I agree that its uncool, but its not a ford in any way. Ford don't know jack about wankels, thats all mazda if it has reliability issues. It's not sexy in any way at all, strike that, in a fat anna nicole smith way, you look at it and think about what it used to be like before it got some extra cargo room.
