Huge Ferrari collection to be sold

A dutch real-estate boss that owns 51 Ferrari's will sell most of his collection. The man that once owned 3 Enzo's (in different colours) said that the cars became too much of a burden. The man will now focus on buying art, and he can buys lots and lots of art from the money he could collect from selling his cars. A short hotlist:

Enzo, F40, F50, 288 GTO, 550 Barchetta, 575 Superamerica, Testarossa, 512M, 430 Coupé and Spider, 360 Modena and Spider, 355 Spider, 612 Scaglietti and 456M GT.



He already sold his SLR 722, and his orders for a 2nd (white) and 3rd (red) Veyron have been cancelled. He will be keeping his orders for his RR Drophead Coupé, 430 Scuderia and 612 Sessanta.

He wil also be keeping his Bentley Continental T, Ferrari 328 (his first Ferrari), 1st Veyron (blue) and RR Phantom (Black Edition).

I.M.O he has gone crazy, I cannot imagine more attractive art than a bunch of italian finest super cars. This is art and you can have a lot of pleasure driving it, do you want more? He clearly wants less and some Picasso or something to look at.

I've been wondering this myself... as the used supercar market in the US with the weak US $ Dollar would suggest that europeans would be grabbing US exotics very quickly... but this isn't happening in any overt rates... in fact, still we are importing far more then they are leaving the US....

Everyone in The Netherlands is upset by this news, but on the other side, more exotics will be actually on the road (hopefully), as these cars were only used occasionnally.. The man had a few cars he used regularly, like the Veyron. But it's too bad he cancelled his orders for the 2nd and 3rd Veyron, that would've been awesome :D 3 Enzo's and 3 Veyrons, 1 man, cool!

*edit: rumours are that he had problems with the company who looked after his collection..

Edit: it has been confirmed that did buy the collection.
