Aren't they exaggerating a little bit in the video? I am not a Lambo specialist but wasn't the 512 and then Testarossa better then the Countach in terms of performance and handling?
For design I kind of agree even if the 512 was sexy and the Testarossa impressive.

The Countach was substantially quicker than the Testarossa, handled and braked better. The Testarossa easier to drive but not as reliable as the Countach.

It largely depends on the Countach you would be comparing against.... the Lamborghini hand built v12 even varried engine to engine to some degree. A friend had an 88 Downdraft, and has owned about 25 + Countach's over the years; and he said his 88 DD was the fastest he has ever owned by some substanial margin.

the 512 BB and 512 BBi, and even the Testerossa's were never as hard accellerating as the Countach, unless the Lambo ended up being a "lemon" engine (which another friend has had since new... and will never get it replaced with a properly working countach)

I wouldn't say either is less or more reliable, except to say I know for certain the Ferrari's require them being driven to work well... one day on, one month off isn't the Ferrari way...

The Testerossa would've been the easiest to drive... a 512 BB isn't so hard to drive, the BBi is a workout, and the Countach is a bit more 'manly' IMHO

Also, stock for stock... the lambo v12 sounds far better ;)

That's a surprise to me :?:! I always though that the Countach was hell to drive around because of the clutch, brakes, vision and steering. Even if I was young at the time I still remember reading in the 80s reviews of Ferraris and Lambo in French magazines (Sport Auto, Automobile Classique, Echappement...) and balance was always tilting in favor of Ferrari for performance and drivability. As of the Lambo was the favorite for looks and "want" factor.
On the other side maybe you are also comparing an early model of Testarossa versus the latest version of the Countach?

The fastest TR from the factory was the F512m, which ran 0-60 in 5.4, where a 25th AE Countach was capable of 4.9 0-60...
