Well my budget isnt much somewhere from $150-$250

What's the best or good camera you guys prefer in that range?

I'm not camera expert so i'm not sure what specs I should look for it.

thanks :)

Hi there,

I have been looking on dpreview.com and this is what I have come up with.

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/canon_a720is.asp interesting compact camera I think. Good price and comes with Image Stabilizer.

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/canon_a650is.asp yet another but this one's price is a bit higher but offers 12 mega pixels

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canong9/ even a higher price but I advice to take one which give you the oppertunity to shoot in RAW !!!

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonyw80/ the cybershots are nice as well.

And now a link to keep the Nikon party happy http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Nikon/nikon_cps510.asp
Interesting iso range and not expensive.

I should go for a Canon or for one of the latest Nikon aim and shoot toys especially the ones equipted with VR and Dynamic lighting!!! Especially the latter option is a superb feature knowing that lots of these compacts have poor contrast reproduction ability. Therefor, is this d-lighting system as it is also called a great help.

Hope this throws a little light in the world of compacts :-D

Cheers
