I saw an E30 M3 today! One of the Evo editions (Censored by annoyance)

a friend of mine has a bimmer and i dont know whay year..i though like 91 but they seemed to boxy

You know in South Africa we had a special 745i as well? It had the M1 engine.

Hell we even had a 2.7l 325iS when the second generation M3 didn't arrive either... ;)

That is one of the best M3 money can buy. Even if it's slower than the new one, it's pure IMO, fast, and funny! Even the CSL is nothing IMO beside that E30 M3

Here is line item from their Index - http://www.totalbmwmag.co.uk/Index/TBMWIndex.txt showing that in their [b]July 2002 M Power special - a South African model Three with 3.3 litres and Alpina detailing is now in the UK E30 333i[b] issue they have some info.

Unfortunately, hard data about mid-80's South African cars is hard to come by on the web.

From what I found out the E30 m3 with a 6 cyl. engine was not stock from Bayern, but something they did after the car rolled of the assembly line.....
If so, its not a stock E30 M3 IMO.
Am I wrong, its quite possible that I got it wrong.......

Wow? Jealous of the unique brand of M-cars that BMW South Africa produced? LOL ;)

The 333i, the 325iS and even the 745i were REAL factory BMW's - not some "after-market" kit... sorry you guy's got stuck with a wimpy 4-banger... ;)

Yes sure the 333i should have been (and still be) a blast! But was it turbocharged?!?!? It stated 450 turbo hp here: http://www.conceptcarz.com/folder/vehicle.asp?car_id=6 in that case sure a blast but not a true Bimmer :(

But was it a very very limited edition? I saw on a tsceck site only 204 were produced :( is it right?
