Japanese reliability at its best!! :-D LOL!
BTW, I read some time ago that there's an old Renault 12 taxi in Barcelona with over 2 million km on the clock, with barely no major problems. And that there was a Volvo P1800 with even more than that running perfectly...

Volvo's are known to go for a lot of time with no major problems...We sold a S40 Volvo, from 2000 with 514 000 km on the clock, and it still goes good on our roads....only the springs have been changed and the distribution kit....

:-P I think, as obvious as it sounds, many cars can be deadly reliable if the owner takes a good care of it. Although my mother's Toyota, isn't. It's a Japanese built Camry, and the rear left light keeps going out, and she replaced it like what 3 times in a month. And it's still broken.

My whole familly has Volvo's , S40, V40, V70 all made from december 99 to january 2002 all over 120 000 km, and I sold with a friend of mine over 40 Volvo's in Romania, and none had any major problems.
The only problems are the variator, the distruibution kit and injectors....except that, My familly didint had any other problems and no one complained to us of any other major problems with their cars.....as we offer service for sold cars, except for these problems or the usual oil and tyres changing, there werent any other faults with the cars....Volvo's are known for the durable engines....an 50 cars sold in total to familly and clients can confirm that :D and now we still have 8 more for sale on http://volvo.automarket.ro/

I suppose V70 must a quite good car, because I've heard that it is the most sold big station wagon in Finland. I don't like V40, because it is very small, but S40 T4 is another story then. it offers lot of fun, but it has been also legendary problematic car in here.
S40 mom, V70 dad, V40 2,0 T ME :-D, I went to Greece with it, very low fuel consumption, very good in overtaking with only 165 HP Ive made over 15 000 km with it from March when i got it, and I only changed the oil and the mp3 player....but I want to get a 2005 V50 T5 or S40 T5.....there very cheap in Germany, and they sell at double the price here in Romania
