I haven't got a chance to drive a Ferrari. For those who had, which Ferrari to date do you think is the best?

well there is no thing as best, it depends on what ur looking 4, for the young people the enzo would b the best, and for the more old people that like old cars better then it would be an old one.
but my personal best is the.... mmmm..... f50 and enzo :)

hmmm...for me it would have to be one of the oldschool 80's models. The choice would be between the Testarossa and the 288GTO. I really liked the 348 as well.

For me it's a 612M (prototype racer) or a F40

Difficult to choose, i am not sure to be able to decide : Testarossa, 288 GTO, F40, F50 and Enzo are the cars that comes to my mind. Maybe the Testarossa because it was the dream car when i was a child or the F40.

F40,It sounds mad.Looks like it was designed for one thing.Just to race on the race track.

I would like to brand a 355 GTS or even a 360 Modena. I guess i wouldn´t brand a Enzo(i´m kidding) because it doesn´t have a manual gearbox.
F50 and F40 are all fucking cars also. I would brand one of these i sad.

Tiff said it best , something like 360 modena, red, hard top, manual (not the paddles) is the ferrari that i would have in my "garr-age"

i agree that there really isn't one single ferrari to pick..some are good at one thing and others a different one.
obviously if u wanted to drive a car to work or something u wouldn't want to ride in an F-50 unless u invest in a weekly chiropractic sesssion lol
For those who had, which Ferrari to date do you think is the best?
BTW, I doubt there is somebody here that actually drove all the "main" models to give a "true" personal judgment ;)
Anyway.. for me as for others, it's very hard to give a final word... as I already said more than once, the 308 GT4 is drop head sexy for me. And pretty "cheap" to (Ferrari-wise)... but of course F40 and F50 always said something too... and well, after the last evo issue, the F50 seems the best Ferrari money can buy :D

I have only driven three models - 348, 355, and 360. All are incredible cars but the 360 is the best yet of the 'entry level' models.

288GTO hands down

I love every Ferrari, but my pick would be... I don't know... I like the 360 and the F50 (just love his F1 engine) and the Enzo... it's hard!

Hmmmm.... seemed that there are 3 kinds of Ferraris, the F40 and F50 lovers, the 300 series lovers and the classic ferraris.
Yep, I know it is a tough choice  , but that's the point. Likely, if I am ever going to have the money to buy one, I would have to buy one and only one.
For me, it would either be a 360, or a 612. But, second hand 456 and 348 are great too!! Hahaha.... As long as it is a Ferrari, it will turn heads and throw smoke on other drivers.

288 GTO for me. I drew I damn fine picture of it recently. Needs a frame still.

all the current ferraris and some of the past I don't know their name but they are beautiful and have great engines

Hmmm.... seemed that no one likes the 500 series Ferraris, that's pretty surprising. It seemed like it is either the entry level 360, or the top end F50 and Enzo.

Its all about what you want. My Father has an F40, and it is an incredible car to drive occasionally, but it would seirously be crappy to drive everyday. No power brakes, or steering, and the clutch is really heavy. Also there are blindspots everywhere. For an everyday ferrari, I would take a 360. I have sat in it, and i love them.

My dad used to be a doctor, but he's like.. semi retired now....
If I were to buy a Ferrari today I would probably go for the 355. Something about that car just stands out in my mind.

The F40 is my favorite
When I saw it the first time, I was about 7 years old, it made such an impact on me, which had never done another car before or after.

Nah, I disagree.... I think it simply means that somebody happens to have that kind of money to spend on a car....
It is all subjective, one do not have to compare, but simply give me your views and opinions.

Hmmm. The best Ferrari so far, has to be the GTO. The design and sound is superb. Love that car. Beautiful car.

although the enzo has made the biggest hypercar impression on me ever, id still goe with the ferrari F512m testarossa. the 180 degree v12 derrived off their winning racing engine from way back when sounds spectacular, isnt to small to sound whiny, and can be built up immensely. i wouldnt mind spending 100grand (us) on that beaut, then invest that much more into it. sure it would have the reliability of a race car (or worse) but... something about the Testarossa...

Entry Level - Metallic Blue 360 MT Coupe.

erm i think the F50 is the ultimate ferrari, it looks awesome(ok all ferraris do but IMO it looks better than any other ferrari) and its 1 of the most spartan, pure fast-going machines ever made. plus it can be driven without the hardtop, which is nice and looks VERY exotic.
The best ferrari is always the end ferrari made.

Nearly all Ferraris were great and they stilll are. All are beautiful...except the 400i, mondial, or enzo...enzo is cool though...
F1 machines are great too. Perhaps this topic is rhetorical...answers are apparent...all ferraris are great

For everyday driveability, the 360 Modena. But for a pure adrenaline rush, the 288 GTO.

For me a 348 Spider or a 355 berlinetta/spider.
F40 or F50 they are beautiful.
Will be a difficult choice.
Ferrari is not the be-all and end-all of supercars. What you do have to recognize is they have built up a tremendous amount of brand recognition; especially with their F1 success. Ferrari is somewhat a victim of its success; Ferrari's are becoming played out. When a driver spends that kind of money on a car they don't want everyone on their block to own one. Maserati is a better value, as they are just reappearing in the states and they are engineered by Ferrari. Makes like McLaren and Koenigsegg provide access to limited numbers and hence prestige. BTW yin_cheong, the only smoke the Ferrari will be throwing on a McLaren or Koenigsegg will be out of it's own engine bay after the McLaren driver doubles back to claim his winnings.

any ferrari except the F50 which is an ugly ass car.

For everyday usability, it has to be a 575M (silver with black interior), for track use the F40 (red with black interior), and for impressing the hell out of everyone who know anything about cars, it has to be the 288GTO (red with black & red interior), but for weekend cruising in front of the clubs, it should be a convertible due to the fact that all women love converibles so in comes the 360 Spyder 6-speed manual (azzuro blue just to be different).

I really want to, but I can't answer this question. Ferrari made too many brilliant cars. Naming one wouldn't be fair towards the others. Sorry.
If I could pick more than one car we'd end up with a huge list.

Enzo for sure. But before the Enzo I think it was the F355.

It'd be between the 250 and 288 GTO.
