the sad thing is that some people are this stupid. the last time i went to pep boys and an old lady had a bill of almost a $1000, for a car that was worth 800. lucky i do my own maintenance

I don't really think most women and/or more ppl are stupid, they just don't know anything about cars.
I confess I don't know ALL of cars, few things yes, and when i take my dad's (10 years old and a little overused, in bad shape) dodge ram to the mechanic. has some troubles with the auto gear box (my dad left the overdrive ON since the first day he bought the truck), and of course the mechanic (a trusty person) talks about specific parts and all I do is ask more about them because I don't know,

maybe the point is that a few mechanics and shops charge a lot more for an oil change, and name it "viscous thermofluid replacement" just to charge you more for the service, and take advantage of ppl
