Whata hell is their problem...I think is a better way to put it.
Look at all the bullshit rules we get. They fucked the sport over completly with their bullshit.
Everything was great, but NO. Ferrari is dominating so lets fuck everybody over.
Look at the bullshit qualifing. I dont even watch it anymore. I miss the days of getting out on the track and drivers battling out the fastest time around the track. It was the only time were you could really see how fast a car is.
Now the one engine rule. WTF is that? Cutting costs down? FOR WHAT for petes sake. I did not see teams strugling to get money. Financial difficulties always exist in motorsports, its part of life, get over it.
HOw about the rules???How is it fair? I win 6 races I go to the final race and fight for the championship against a guy with 1win? I know consistency is important, but how is that fair???? They should have left it as is.
In conclusion Im sick of FIAs bullshit. If they left it how it was the sport would be much better because everybody would try extremly hard to beat Ferrari, and we would have field of strong cars out there.
And how fair is it for Ferrari??? It doesnt matter of you like them or not, you got to face the facts. A great team is working hard, they are winning championships, and now they have to be brought down because of their success??? What they had to much? Jezzzzzzz.

ur absolutely right, i mean, this is F1, its supposed 2b the fastest of the fastest, its not lemans or something, if the engines last through the race, its enough.
and that BULLSHIT tyre rule, if a team picks the wrong tyres, it can have very dangerous results. First the morons put chicanes in every high-speed course there is, to make it safer, then they let safety of the drivers come down to luck :?
BTW i think they should not have a minimum ground clearence, i mean le mans cars are lower to the ground than F1 cars, how can F1 be the pinnacle of technology if things go on this way?

Yeah, this is a really good question: became to use slick tyres. It would be nice, cars would be faster and the F1 would be more status!

i don't think money is everything. some team like Jaugar and BAR had big budget behind it but it can't produce the result. mclaern and Williams' budget is pretty similar to Ferrari's if you include their engine cost, but they're still a step behind Ferrari last few seasons. Therefore I don't think having a lot of money is the only way to guarantee success, it does really help though.
I think what they're really trying to do here is to make it possible to have a field of 10 or 12 teams competing. Remember without the smaller teams there will only be 8 to 10 cars running each race, and that's boring. These years we see a lot of manufacture competing and that's a good thing, imagine what happens when these teams loss interest and stop participating? Then you'll have problem filling the spots. These auto manufactures love to come in and get out whenever they feel like it, so you're left with the smaller teams and they certainly can't compete at previous level.
All teams (even farrari) will have problem finding sponsors somedays, you didn't hear about it doesn't mean it's not a problem. That's why the FIA is trying to make things affordable to ensure the future of F1.

I still dont think Ferrari has the most money. Williams has BWM backing them up, and Ferrari or Fiat in that case does not have as much money as BWM.

are you kidding me? Ferrari has alot more then BMW by far. now wether you want to believe it or not is another story, but the truth is the truth and that being said. Ferrari owns all.
and from what i am aware of BMW takes care of the engines and not much else.
Not that I dont want to believe it, its just what I think. Anyway I think your right, BWM does only take care of the engines...

The cars have to have a minimum ground clearance because the downforce squashes the sprung weight components the faster it goes. The LeMans cars don't get the same amount of squash(for lack of a better term) as rapidly as an F1 car, and have to comply, more or less, with typical "road car" characteristics. That's why even the Bentley and Audi LMP900 cars had to have two "seats".
I don't recall anywhere the FIA stating that F1 was supposed to be fastest of the fastest. IRL cars on ovals (and slicks) do faster racing for longer distances at speed. Its your ideas and memories that bestow that title to F1, along with the legion of journalists who preach this.
Really, how many tracks on the calendar can even exploit top speed? Road course racing is about accelerated drag races to the corners, if you've got someone next to you. Only a hand full of the circuits have the straights to even do this anymore. Hockenheim used to be balls out in the forest. But what good is balls out to a bunch of trees? There were no spectator stands in the best parts.
cheers.
