BERLIN (AP) -- Luxury sports car maker Porsche AG said Monday that its net profit for fiscal 2007 more than tripled with help from a revaluation of its 22 percent stake in Volkswagen AG and strong results from its core business.

I hope they did not cut corners on thier cars in the process of achieving those insane numbers.

well Volkswagen is such an enormous company, a revaluation of a 22% stake could run in the tens to hundreds of millions of dollars easily, it could easily make up for a doubling of profits i suppose... i'll have a look at their annual report sometime soon, they've been doing awfully well in the past 10 years and I might just have some cash stowed away somewhere :wink:
