Following last week’s leak of a grainy profile shot of Fisker’s upcoming luxury plug-in electric four-door coupe comes this new official rendering of the car. The project is a combined effort between California-based companies Fisker Coachbuild and Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, which together have formed a joint-venture to develop the new plug-in.
Officials plan to roll out the real thing at the Detroit Auto Show in January next year and will follow soon after with production of the car. Initial production is anticipated to be 15,000 vehicles annually with pricing to start under $100,000.
The four-seater will be powered by either petrol or diesel powertrains mated to an electric motor dubbed the ‘Quantum Drive.’ It will have a modest range of 50 miles on pure-electric mode, which would be ideal for the daily commute to work. When combined with the internal combustion engine it will have a mammoth 620 mile range.
It's environmentally-friendly and quite a looker. Certainly trumps the Panamera in terms of design. Although it hints on a bit of Citroen for me
