Ey guys, Ive been very busy lately with school and everything and since I still have no acces to internet my visits to JW are very limited sadly.
Good to see Jabba is keeping the vault updated for you guys! (and thank you for that Jabba!)
Anyway I was looking for a saturday (trainee) job and had a interview at the main Audi Dealership in Rotterdam ''Auto Hoogenboom''. They phoned me back today telling me Ive been hired!
So as from tomorrow I will be working in the showroom every Saturday. My job will consist off:
- receiving/helping customers (and expanding this to selling soon)
- driving demo cars and others between the dealerships (they have 2)
- picking up (fast and exclusive) Audis at the Importer so interested customers can have a test-drive.
So I am very happy and hope I will learn very much. Offcourse I will make pictures and perhaps a review if I get to drive a nice Audi.
But they sell Volkswagen and Porsche too so I hope to drive those too from time to time but we have to start at the bottom
All the Best
Rory

Yesterday was my first day and I spoke to alot of interesting customers, I helped them as far as I could and then I would get my boss so that I could see and learn all the things I don't know yet, like taxing a car and the actual ordering.
Yesterday a S3 as well as 2 Q7s were ordered and a S5 was sold. And some normal A3s A6s etc. A Renault Clio V6 (phase 1), MB 350ML and BMW M5 (E60)were taxed and probably will be exchanged and sold on to other dealers.
But I had a very interesting day, the boss gave me the keys of a nice little A3 1.6 and said I had to go and put some fuel in it, offcourse I was absolutely chuffed and I thought that the car was very nice, fairly fast for only a 1.6.
But the big surprise came on the end of the day. One of the salesmen was returning from his holiday and he wanted to drive off in the car he uses for the office (its an Audi TT they use for testdrives too). So the boss said we are going to put that car over their, I imagined that he would drive the TT and I would drive some crappy car but oh no. He said ''Ill drive upfront in the Q7 and you follow me in the TT'' :D
So my weekend was complete as from then, unfortunately it was only a small journey but that didn't matter.
It was an Audi TT 2.0 Litre Turbo (same engine as golf gti) with a 6 speed box. I think that it drove very well and that it was pretty fast (0-60 in 6.5). I had to get used to the short ratio's driving a 6 speed but the gearbox made it sporty. The best thing IMO is the low ride and it was quite funny driving behind an inmense Q7 and just being able to see the license plate LOL
Anyway all in all a good first day but Im looking forward to whats to come. I overheard a customer talking to my boss about wanting to take a testdrive in a Audi Q7 4.2 Litre V8 (diesel) but we only have the 3.0 Litre V6 for testdrives. The only 4.2 Litre V8 is with the Importer at the other side of the country and you can borrow it from them from time to time. Only thing is you have to go and get it yourself, so Im praying that I can go and get it :P

Last saturday I had to go to the Importer of VW/Audi to pick up a Audi A3 1.8 Turbo Tiptronic in which a customer of us was going to take a testride. Was a nice car with 180BHP and the tiptronic was fun :)
Today however when I arrived this morning the boss his son had picked up a Audi TT Roadster 3.2 Quattro Tiptronic from the importer for a customer. And somewhere during that day the announcement came through that I had to bring it back! As it was nice weather I had the roof open and it was funny to see everyones faces of a young boy in such a nice car
When I arrived at the importer and handed the TT back I got the key of an A6 Avant, but it was the car of our managing director. That car was an Audi A6 Avant 3.0 TDI Quattro Tiptronic, and I have to say it was a very nice car too!
So all and all two nice weekends. I am very busy with my study during the week so forgive me if Im not around so much
All of you take care!
