It's kinda sad in a way, to see it abandoned like this.

^ The issue is who owns it? Banks, Govt?

The Chinese from Powertrain who bought it!!

The Chinese took the plans, and some machines, and they're producing the same cars in China. They just don't care about the factory, it should be peanuts for them.

What is strange is that there are lots of things that seem to be left, just has if someone took all the workers in a zap! :D

I am surprised all the Rover driving chavs and gits haven't raided the place for spares ;)

Cheltenham is a bit of a drive from Birmingham.

And what a sad end to the British car industry, throughout most of my lifetime curry has been bigger business than shipbuilding.

Good show, I love curry.

Haunnting picutures, taken before the companies' closures. A 51' 7 and a 'V' Rover., the 7s there to rework the TF despite configuration issues, maybe to teach the engineers how it ought to feel as a British sportscar. Sort of.

The city Rovers give it 52 reg or just prior for their pre UK release testing, bad spending. Classic BL action, these pics show an abrupt end to impending progress.

Fabulous.

It's so odd to see the whole place just abandoned like that.

Does anybody know what car this is?

My yankee eyes don't recognize it at all.

I think it's the interior of this car:

Hard to believe they were producing "modern" cars in that factory. No wonder they went under.
