wow, serious engine failure.
Audis fault because of bad engines or do we know what happend?

Maybe the Lambo curse is spreading to Audi's R8 (being that it's so close to one).

they say that the problem was with the hydraulic transmission, causing the fire. Software update should avoid this happening again.

Interesting... how can a software update avoid a fire? Was it because the transmission was heating up too much and a software update would shut it down? That would mean the transmission has a design flaw as a car which just stops working kinda sucks...
I would have understood if it was a leaky hose or something, and a software update sure can't fix something like that. hmmm
i guess the update keeps the pressures down and so no failures with the pipes.
i would say a lawsuit could easily come from that and hey could get enough money to get a 911 turbo :D

Looks like Audi has really joined the Supercar group, now that it has finally melted to the ground like many Ferrari's and Lambo's :mrgreen:
