Hope they take part in Le Mans next year... they could be a serious candidate even with LMP2 specs, not to mention if they arrived with an upgraded semi-official LMP1 RS Spyder :wink:

One thing is to win a short race in an urban circuit an another different thing is to win the 24h of Le Mans. LMP2s haven't got any chance at Le Mans.

One thing is to win a short race in an urban circuit an another different thing is to win the 24h of Le Mans. LMP2s haven't got any chance at Le Mans.

Um maybe given if the cars are running perfectly for the entire 24hrs!? Any car has a chance of winning Le Mans as its a race of endurance of both driver and car. P2 cars weren't supposed to win on some of the big ALMS tracks either this year but Audi has had some misfortune one way or the other giving an edge to the "smaller" "less powered" RS Spyders and even Acuras.

The Spyders won at Road America, ending Audi's 5 or 6 year winning streak there. Road America is a long fast track, the Audi's had the upper hand.
