After we’ve seen some spy shots and with only one week until official images and details of the car will be released, here is the latest shot, revealing the new Jaguar XF’s profile completely undisguised.

The new XF is a crucial model for the struggling British marque so its styling is very important, plus that it’s one of this year’s most anticipated car. The C-XF concept promised a lot but this new image shows a much more mundane car, especially its styling up front. Hopefully the new XF will look better once it’s seen in the ‘flesh’ at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show

It looks like a Volvo S80 from this angle but it's not bad thing IMO

Looks far more bland than I'd been hoping it would.

Looks too much like a Lexus GS for me. Too bad they don't have the balls to make something different. They certainly don't have much to lose in terms of sales volume at this point.

I agree with the GS comment until you get to the front 1/4 of the car...which looks like the soggy mass that came out of my asshole this morning. :(

Just wait for the R version. And at least the rear end looks like the DB9's?

I think it looks good. It looks new, which is good. And it doesn't look like a S-Type at all, which is even better.

They messed up, the concept looked way better, had the feline look to it and the whole package, this just doesn't look like anything special to me.

Not digging the bug eye look in the front w/ the protruding projector. :(

Although the Gear shifting selector is pretty damn cool.

not great but much better than the poor X-type and S-type

The thing is, modern concept cars inflate the anticipation of potential buyers so that companies can "gauge" how many of them they can sell in the future. The downside is that all the cars that were introduced like that are always disappointing. Alfa 8c Comp., Jag XF, LR Range Stormer... Some are fine, though, like Aston Martin DBS or Bugatti Veyron, only because they're hideously expensive.

What a fucking ugly un-Jaguar looking Jaguar.

All Jag had to fall back on is their "past looks" - the company has nothing without it - in fact without its past heritage Jaguar is nothing.

One can only hope sales will fail and Jaguar will just close up shop for good - seriously, if this is the best they can come up with, why bother?

It looks like Volvo S80, Mazda 6, Mondeo, Lexus all mixed into one. Not good.

Obviously been filtered down by a committee.

I feel Ian Callum's pain. He probably hoped that they wouldn't touch his concept. But Ford, being Ford, just had to compromise it.

I really like it! Far nicer looking inside and out than any of the cars out nowadays, anyways. I am a bit disappointed they didn't go more with the original design, especially the headlights, but hey, you can't have it all. This is a HUGE leap for jag, and I think it will sell great.

Oh, and the next XJ is supposed to be far more daring than this.

Damn that's a fast looking Buick

...I mean Taurus.

^Yeah, it does have the lines of some of the Buick cars. Maybe not the Taurus...
