Does anyone play it? I've never played a musical instrument in my life, I tried GH2 at a dept store and I was so clumsy I couldn't stand it and bought the game tpday :D I play on Normal difficulty and I sometimes I have trouble with it... but all in all its a cool game, I hope I get to play better...

I was addicted to this game about half a year ago, and I think it's time for me to pick up GH2. At my prime I could play stuff on either the hardest difficulty or the one right below it.

Heard about this game and it's awesome-ness for the past year.. Finally got my hands on it a month ago. I was addicted within the first song.
I still have only played it that one time, been thinking about buying it but I dont think I need another distraction.

Awesome game. The only deterrent would be the price. That's why I borrow my friend's.

I tried playing it a couple times during college.
The first time I was drunk as hell, and I was terrible at it.
The second time I was sober, and I still sucked at it.
So the moral of the story is....I suck at Guitar Hero and that makes it no fun for me. I've never been very guitar-type-musically inclined, though.

I've played guitar for 9 years, and would never touch Guitar hero... unless it actually involved doing something like playing a guitar...
fun for others i suppose.

its a game, not a simulator... why would anyone want a game to follow the exact tunes if you have a real guitar with real sounds to do that?

Think of it as DDR for geeks who wish they could actually play guitar ;)
basically it's a lot of fun, especially with good songs.
I heard rumors of new versions for xbox360 and above where you can download new songs.. which would be tits for sure.

I am a sim kind of guy. If I want to play games, then I play Halo, and Zelda. Also, it would be a game that actually makes people better at something in real life if it were a guitar simulator ;) There are soooo many guitar players out there, it would probably be worth it... not to mention, MIDI guitar pickups have been in existence for quite some time

Timed key presses + lag = shitty
Even with the slightest bit of lag, the game would be screwed.
The Download content has been a total failure on Guitar Hero's part. They claimed that it will have the most DLC ever and fell damn short. And what they did release, was a giant rip off. They have released a few songs from Guitar Hero 1 and suffered for it. If they release all the songs to be downloaded at the prices they charge, it would cost something like $98 to buy them all. You can buy the GH1 game for $30.

sooo... stopped playing it for a while and since yday i've been trying to jump to hard difficulty... which is... actually hard. I've been practicing with Sweet Child o' mine and I'm doing well in most parts sometimes gettin above 90% of notes hit, the solo part is kinda insane. Of course there are some tricks to play the notes but now I'm getting used to use the orange button.
Anyone has gone to hard or expert?

Yeah I play it standing on my couch thrusting my crotch into my girlfriend's face while I yell "WHIDDLY WHIDDLY WHIDDLY WHIDDDLY!!!"
