The vette isn't an exotic car, but it truly is a super sports car.... supercars are along the likes of Koenigsegg, Enzo, Zonda, Veyron, Vector W8, XJ220, EB110, etc.

i think if u fold down the rear seats of a 911 you could fit it in there as well... and if you, for whatever reason, dont feel like taking your bike in a supercar, you could take your wife and kids for a ride :) which is something you cant do in a corvette

Hatch, wagon and touring versions of Corvettes have appeared for decades.

So lets recap:

Titanium exhaust systems, Valet switch to half the power with a key, walk up keyless entry and alarm, standard HUD, electro-magnetic shocks, tranverse leaf spring independant suspension... fuel injection since 1957 and if I am not mistaken, disc brakes all round as standard before Ferrari switched from drums :P

I'm sure you read, the down-on-power Maserati Quattroporte laps faster then the M5 and CLS AMG does... does that mean I'd rather have one then an M5, then a CTS V, etc. etc.

Ferrari went to disk brakes in 1958 for the race cars and 1960 for the road cars.

interesting story: Enzo was reluctant to go to disk brakes - I believe Jaguar introduced them in racing first. For Enzo, only the engine mattered.

Peter Collins, who raced Ferrari F1 and sportscars, was convinced that the disk brakes would help tremendously. So he took his road going 250 Cal Spyder to England and got a set of disks fitted to it and drove it back to Maranello. He demonstrated its superiority to Enzo who then applied the changes to the race cars immediately and then to the next generation of road cars starting in 1960.

the carb boxer does sound better, but still sounds terrible for being a v12 with the OE exhaust system. The 512 Boxer is an example where having Tubi is virtually nessisary.

Everyone knows the Enzo drum brake story.. which is why I said what I said, I just didn't know the year in question.

In 1965 all Corvette models went to standard disc brakes. The key work being standard.

funny thing Skaala should post a picture to an Opel GT wich is another thing where facts often are wrong.
Here the design where looked at and used for the next generation vettes....the GT are often refered to as the baby vette..... the facts are its the daddy when it comes to the design of the car....

The story is again - well known and documented.. the Mako Shark and 1965 Mako Shark II concepts and the 1965 Opel GT Concept.. all penned by the same hand.. remember.. Opel has been a GM company since the 1920's - if I am not mistaken... :P

Is that on all 4 wheels? Was that standard on all models? I'm interested now; time to look up Corvettes and Ferraris, poor me. :)
