Most fans of the Dark Knight appreciated the overall tone of the latest film to feature Bruce Wayne and his alter ego, Batman. The emphasis on Wayne's transformation into the Caped Crusader gave Batman Begins a psychological edge and complexity that... oh, who am I kidding? It was the Tumbler that we all loved. Typically outrageous without being overly cartoonish, it was a reconfigurable warship on wheels. With a follow-up film on its way, it was inevitable that rumors about the newest Batmobile would eventually surface.

BB 2 will take the series further back to its roots by featuring one of Batman's greatest archenemies, The Joker (here's his pretty pathetic set of wheels). It will also, apparently, bring back another iconic Bat vehicle: the Batcycle. Actually it is called the Batpod and, thanks to Gizmodo, we have a couple of pics of this new Batride to share. Our first reaction was that it looks like half of the Tumbler, minus the bodywork with the same chunky tires and mutating layout. The Batpod also features huge cannons up front and no immediately identifiable engine. Speculation suggests wheel-mounted electric motors. It's definitely intimidating, although we're not sure how those wheels will affect its driveability. Some have also noted its resemblance to the Tomahawk, minus the Viper V10. Where that Chrysler show bike is pure muscle, this thing looks more military.

We'll get to see more of the Batpod when The Dark Knight rolls into theaters next summer. Or as soon as more pics surface.

It’s easy, if you have friends that work at a theater. Hell, I know of people that have somehow hooked up a 360 to a movie screen and had some big screen gaming fun. So if you have a friend that works the projector you can put almost anything up there. I also have to question why the person filming that has the shakes. They couldn't sit still for 25 seconds? Like Bizi said, we will see this Friday.

I did enjoy hearing the Joker’s voice; I just expected a bit more than a poorly done logo animation. I could put that together in a few minutes. I was hoping that the teaser description that was floating around was true.

saw the tdk prologue trailer tonight....and I gotta say...it blew my mind...the Joker is so disgustingly ridiculously insanely amazing, its impossible to put into words...the trailer is NOT a bunch of scenes put together...its an entire sequence of events run through for a 5 min showing...if you've seen Heat (the bank robbery part), think of THAT but multiply by 20X....you may get the idea...I was blown away...speechless... this, for me, is going to THE best movie of all time...

A friend saw it Thursday night at midnight. He said it was his favorite movie of all time. He wants to see it again, but says I have to see it in Imax. He said the 3:00 am Friday morning Imax show was sold out.

He says Heath is fantastic, but so is the rest of the cast. He recommends watching Batman Begins before seeing it.

you know that scene in the jail where every claps at the cop cause he gets promoted.. and heath clapss.. he improvised... and everyones face there is there real faces as in ..
