Here is the video:

Bugatti Veyron at the Prescott Hill Climb May 07 - YouTube

Now you can start the typical arguments about the Veyron :D

For me it handles  Thank you, it's rare to see a Bugatti on a track .

Too bad the drivers are told not to "push it" on Hill Climbs like these..

Still nice to see the flying pig in action though ;)

Some proper track beating of the Veryon would be something though.. especially when it's brakes melt off.

Thanks gangjas for taking the title of "Lord of the Links" from the non-existant Modprops :D

Saw the vid yesterday, there are some more on YouTube filmed from different viewpoints.
Funny to see such a big car on small narrow roads like these :P

Nice video!! It's very rare to see a Veyron beeing driven fast. And even more rare to see a supercar in such a dificult road. The driver must be good...

Who cares about the grip when you have 1000hp under your right foot

It's like those full tuned old cars in Norway and Sweden with 500+ hp, or the Supras with 600/700 hp

1000 HP and a classic hill climb course, perfect combo :D !!

It looks like there is not handling problems, the grip seems very good.
Soon comes RC and says that ofcourse the grip is good, because there' all the electronics of the world in that car
Thanks for the rare video! :D

Well - you have answered your own quandry.. what other "hill climb" cars have all those electronic aids?

What other "hill climb" cars weight 4000lbs?

You either rely on driver skill - or computer aids.. it is obvious what is being relied on here.. "point and shoot".

Let's see the same excercise with the aids all turned off. ;)

There is a reason the lighter less powerful GT3-RS dominates the heavier more powerful 4WD 911TT when driver skill is all that is on call ;)

That Veyron looked pretty fast no denial in that, but Im sure that if you took a Kitcar against it on that track the differences are fairly small, it might even loose..

Because like RC said, on the end of the day nothing can beat driver-skill

So, I guess you guys didn't see the autocar video where they compared the Veyron against the GT3 RS, Gallardo SL, R8, etc. right??

In the corresponding mag review, Chris Harris took off in the GT3 RS on a twisty stretch of road. Steve Sutcliffe agreed to give him a 20s head start. The Veyron caught up with it rather quickly, and then blew past it on the first short straight.

As Chris and Steve state in this article: there is no other supercar that even compares with the Veyron's performance. "Nothing even comes close..."

But, they don't anything, right?

wow actually quicker than i thought it would be on those tight parts :D

I quote ''and then blew past it on the first short straight''

Not a surprise with 1000HP, Im sure that if it were only twisty bends without straights the GT3 RS would win..

Don't be so sure about that. With the million electronic aids the Veyron has, even in the tighest, twistiest road you can imagine... I'd put my money on the Bug

Could be, but who knows, nobody seems to do these tests.. :?

My sexlife is electronically controlled to perfection.

awesome vid man! It sure looks quick around the bends.. even though it's fat.

Did you guys not read my post? Steve and Chris agreed to give the GT3 RS a 20 SECOND head start, and it still blew past it. Furthermore, my understanding is that Chris is the faster driver (than Steve) under these types of conditions (he was driving the RS).

Lastly, have you ever tried to pass a a GT3 RS (i.e. a very fast car) on a twisty public road anywhere other than on a straight section.

Remember evo also compared the Veyron against the CGT, Enzo and Zonda S. They came to the same conclusion: nothing can keep up with a Veyron, even in the twistiest backroads they could find.

They're are not saying that it is the most 'natural' car, but they are saying that it is the fastest!

^You drive a 911 GT3 RS very fast on a track....you get respect as a driver
You drive a Veyron very fast on a track ... you get respect as a sucessful person in life and can afford one.

One thing we can all agree on, Veyron is fast as hell. There maybe but's to the end of that sentense, but the first part will hold true regardless.

I pretty much agree with your statement. However, if you're driving the Veyron at a track, and you mis-judge your entry speed substancially, there are no electronic nannies that will save you...

The Veyron would kill it in a 1-2 lap race on a short circuit. 3+laps and the GT3 RS will start catching up with breaking and cornering(cause of less tire wear)

Put it on the 'Ring and the Bug will melt it's brakes off.
