7SERIES VS S CLASS

What is better, a BMW 7-Series (760Li) or a Mercedes S Class (S600)............... If I were a driver, I would go for the 7, if I was a human, S Class

No contest - the Big Benz - way more refined, powerful and impressive - and having been behind the wheel and passenger in both - the one feels like a big 3 series.. the other like one of the greatest luxury saloons ever concieved... ;)

Da Benz is my choice.. check the vid on the S600 by Jeremy C.. He spends so much time programming the phone book with his voice, yet he still picks it over the newer A8 :mrgreen:

Actualy guys...

BMW 760Li has been tested at 5 seconds flat with 0-100 and the S600 has done 4.3........these are QUICK cars.

But whats the point in having so much power in a Mercedes? It would have the road holding of a Clio V6 :?

BMW 760Li here, though I must admit the S600 is a real punch in the face for the 760 in the sales race.

7 Series looks so much better, corners so much better and its got AWSOME tech. 8)

May be the design is older than the 7series, but sill its beautiful!

...back then when i decided to buy my new car i´d the choice between S500 and 745i and i´m still VERY satisfied with my 745i...
MB isn´t my type of car, just look at the SLR...
they try to produce sportive cars but fail every time, sure the S600 has some impressive figures but i´m dead sure the 760 outruns the S600 on an average country road, but one thing´s for sure: autobahn is S600 sovereign territory...

To complete my answer i must say that if i had the choice between a S500 and a 745i i would choose the BMW but between the S600 and the 760 i choose the S600.

As I written before at this thread.. Bmw is much more sportive lookin.. Maybe I have to get BMW out.. But IMO a 20 25 year old guy looks funny at S600..

In the 60's-70's-80's Mercedes became an icon, and now its the King of cars!

In these decades BMW had only a few "good" models(2002ti, 635csi)...BMW started to be good from the end of the 80's...but before their cars lasted till
their warranty... Mercedes was always more liable than BMW! Sorry!

But still, BMW makes better engines then Mercedes...

I will take the 7-series it is more rare then an S and in Holland they also use the S as taxi but the S is a fantastic car if I could I took them both

S Class I reckon; i just hate the way the 7 series looks (look at the other post about Chris Bangle leaving BMW for similar opinions) and it always ws deisgned to immitate the orginal. We all you know that the copy is never as good as the original..

i would easily choose the 760 over an s 600, it has more presence, it handles better, the quality of the interior is a lot better and i find it a lot more interesting to look at.As far as power is concerned i ve heard rumors about an updated version of the 760 with almost 500 bhp
