Well spent my weekend enjoying one of the things i love. A weekend of being with friends and fellow enthusiasts spending our time in Stuttgart and visiting the area that is Porsche. Once again paying a visit to the museum and walking about in the dealership (CGT, 997 RS in maint bays). Though this being the birthplace of many great cars this would not be the highlight of this planned trip...
...instead the highlight of this particular trip would come on Saturday when we once again embarked on a journey to the town of Pfaffenhausen to a small private car company known as RUF. The usual suspects were all there and some nice cars were on hand for the mini concours. Lots of us GI's manage to find money some place because some of the cars that showed up for this gathering were pretty impressive for your "military" kind of guy. While we were getting our annual tour of the facilites we circled around a very nice white 3400K roadster when out of no where I hear this noise, a pleasant noise something I haven't heard before I peak outside the bay door and two men in traditional RUF overalls stand and this is what I see...

(of course not exactly the wheel but the whole car)
and then in it came into the bay and as soon as i heard it growl it was made silent. Talk about an awesome piece of machinery! This thing is amazing and it's only the prototype. What really caught my eye was that the paint is a pearlescent paint without the gloss. There is no shine to it it's kind of a matte finish yet it still has a sparkle. Very unique(to me at least) paint. Anyways to make this story short I ended up seeing many many nice cars from Ruf's very own Porsche 901 #39 as well as 901 #27(Frankfurt Auto show car from '63), a real 73 RS, 959, CTR, CTR2 I saw it all and this time compared to my '05 trip I was blown away. It's always amazing to see the work done is this shop and the level of personal attention the staff makes with each person both customer and enthusiast.
As for the one pic. Well we are only allowed to take pics for personal use and are not able to post them on the web because majority of the cars are special customer cars. So this shot I am afraid is all that I can offer at the moment. Please understand Herr Ruf's request.
