there is a 1hour youtube video of a guy doing a presentation giving various facts about why global warming is just BS to get money off the government.

THe problem is this; this man uses pure logic arguemnts without having a backing for an argument... no citation, no proof.
This is also an over simplification of the issue.... choosing action when there is no GW caused by man misses out on a tremendous amount of catastrophic events which could take place, and are starting to take place.... not just economic resession, but great harm in the 3rd world first in terms of health, education, economics, and defacto death... these same things will have effects on first world nations as well.
His idea of the worst of the worst just isn't the real logic arguement using his own system.. the happy face just doesn't exist on the over simplified and incorrect diagram. He claims that nobody he knows has answered that to his satisfaction... he hasn't met me ;)

The only problem.. the same logic can be used to defend not acting on global warming.

his method is called a "Pascal's Wager". just FYI.
My problem is that we really can't do a whole lot without spending a whole lot of money and even then I don't think we could affect it much. I think we can use that money for better solutions to problems like disease control (HIV cure anyone?) and sanitation.

the 1 hour presentation I was talking about showed that there was some other thing (not CO2) that caused more "global warming" than CO2 does and that THAT wasnt added into the pie charts that show CO2 as being the reason.
Wish I had the damned link.

Probably water vapor. Given that is the most effective at trapping heat by far.

Denver has decided to fight global warming. My suggestion would be to ban all the ski lifts in Colorado from operating. No one really needs to downhill ski.
This one action would save a tremendous amount of carbon from being released into the atmosphere. Just imagine the savings.
Environmentalist have never really liked downhill skiing with all the groomed trails messing up the mountain environment.
This would not ban skiing just the lifts.
Probably would allow the US to meet the Kyoto Protocall after all.
Report to your local termination facility immediately.
The anti-Global Warming money would be better spent to combat 3rd world destruciton of rain forests, wet lands, gras lands, coastal and deep water fishing grounds.
