The king of the 1/4 mile

For you, what´s the king of the 1/4 mile?? Well, for me, talking about race and road cars, it´s the Panoz LMP1 S. What about 0-60 in just 2.28 seconds. At the 1/4, just 9.3 seconds @ 148 Mph...so fast, if u know any car faster than it, tell me here.

according to Lingenfelter's website the car does 9.5@145 on street tires.
According to Panoz they don't make a street car called the LMP1 only the Esperante and the AIV
Hennessey Viper Venom 1000TT 1/4 mile 8.93@ 149.65

They test different cars, not just road legal ones. They have a viper competition coupe and a corvette C5R. I don't the LMP1 is road legal.

Yeah amanthapar, i saw it doing the 0-300 km/h in less than 13.72 seconds...it´s very very fast
but the 1/4 mile, i have the video, is in the house of 9.2 until 9.5 seconds, so, equal to Panoz LMP1

kicks the gtr700 and the one u talk abt... but obvisouly this one isnt a road going one.. i have a video which shows 7.34 sec for 1/4 mile...

ive got a video of canada's fastest street registered and legall road car (1957 i think corvette) running 7.22 @ 196.63
but if youre talking the actual drag cars i belive the rail cars (top fuellers here in aus) are in the low to mid 4 second bracket

I am 99 percent sure the panoz isn't road legal. Look at the picture of the car.

It is impressive for a car setup to be a road racer but I am sure we can come up with faster road racers. We wont even get into drag cars because that would be too easy. (prostock and the like are alot faster then 7s.)

You can get sub 9sec @~145mphfor less than $10k... on a modified snowmobile.
That's the cheapest single digit time slip i know of.
