This week, Vicki gets her hands on the latest BMW X5 4.8i. Costing over £50,000, this impressive machine can reach 150mph – but will it be fast enough to tow champion wakeboarder Matt Crowhurst behind it?

Jonny Smith is a chip-fat evangelist. He has been running an unmodified diesel Mercedes on nothing but used vegetable oil. This week, he goes to meet another pioneer of alternative fuels, Henry Hobhouse – a Somerset cider farmer who uses rotten apples from his vineyard to produce methane to power his Jaguar. The two race headto-head to find out which eco-friendly fuel is fastest: chip fat or apple juice?

Elsewhere, Yvette Fielding – former ‘Blue Peter’ presenter and mastermind of cult favourite ‘Most Haunted’ – reveals that she is a secret petrolhead with an impressive collection of sports cars – including not one, but three Aston Martins! After showing Fifth Gear around the garages at her impressive Cheshire farm, Yvette is invited to road-test her dream car – a rare Porsche replica of the classic 356 Speedster. Beside herself with glee, Yvette leaps at the chance to get behind the Porsche’s wheel, and inevitably decides that she must have one...

Also this week, Jason tests the ultimate track car – the brand new Lotus 2 Eleven, designed for the hardest of hardcore driving enthusiasts.

Plus, Tiff tests the Ford Transit Connect X-press – a special edition vehicle that is sure to excite ‘White Van Man’. This high-performance van boasts the engine and innards from the fire-breathing Focus RS. Could this super-charged van really be faster than the Renault Megane R26, the hot hatchbackof the moment?
