Halo 3 Beta Multiplayer

Anyone else have the Beta?

The best way I can sum up this part of the game is: Halo 2.7

The game looks very good, sounds are much more realistic but there isn't anything TOO different to make it feel like a brand new game. Feels more like an update.

spent some hours playing it last night

in the end its a beta so there isn't much to expect from it. You can see its a beta from many things, you don't hear the "gained the lead, tied the leader..." stuff, the graphics and game engine sometimes does't work right. But I'm ok with that.

I like the new weapons and sounds. The sounds are really great, much better than H2. even there isn't much change in the gamplay, i think its great, why would you need it. Still the new thing to expect is the story and we won't get that until fall.
The maps are not that great, IMO Valhalla is missing more weapons or something. The other 2 are ok

anyway, sep 25 is close and then we'll get the real deal.

I wouldn't recomend buying crackdown in order to play the beta.

edit: doh, didn't realize this was for the XBox.. forgot PC ports for Halo come out years after the console version :(
