Which isn't an entirely bad thing, the Focus WRC car is pretty good looking IMO.
When the Impreza was first shown, I thought it was pretty dam ugly. But the STI here, actually looks pretty good. I still prefer the current sedan over the hatch though.

^Rims always play a big part of a car's look.

Yes, stance can make or break the cars looks. But it's been improved in other areas as well. An obvious one would be that the ugly grill has been ditched.
They seemed to have cleaned up the rear end as well. The taillights seem to have much less chrome and the chrome bar that went across the hatch is replaced by a darker unit with chrome striping across the top. That is a major improvement IMO. Even better would be to ditch the chrome altogether and match the bar to the color of the car.
Also, yay for flared fenders.
The more I look at it, the better it looks. Seems Subaru hasn't made a giant mess of this afterall.
Another advantage to the hatch, the rear window wiper. Seems minor, but if you live in an area like mine, they are nice to have. Whats most annoying is that the Japanese sedans got them on the WRX and STI as options I believe, but we never did.
I'll get to drive one eventually, my boss has already told the dealer that he wants the first one they get. Which makes sense, he has bought a new STI every year since they started selling them here.
