so my dad has finally come to the conclusion that he 'slowly' might need a new car for the family (now our ~13 yo Ford Taurus has served us well, but my dad came to the conclusion that it just sucks a little to own a car in germany for which you can only get spare parts in the states -_- )

he has also narrowed his choices down to an Audi, now he recons he would like to get an Allroad (prefferably used, so the '02 model looks nice, would that be the B7 model? clicky (http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=3adywwnqh1v)) my mom will be driving it all the time, so my dad recons the higher ride height ect is better for my mom (she likes the car too).

anyway, my question is, has anyone had any experience with this particular model and what are the big differences to the standard A4 model? because imo we should be getting the normal A4. but i guess my voice and oppinion doesn't weigh much in my fathers car buying plans. i just would like to get some info on this car if somebody feels like he can contribute something :)

the car will be used for hauling groceries (yeah lol) and occasionally bigger stuff/equipment, such as skis and snowboards for when we go to the alps. my dad also likes the fact that it comes with quattro, so generally there won't be any major probs with snow.

this (http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=3adywwnqh1v) is sort of what he has in mind.
