The Focus could only take those corners so fast because he drifted them, for that you need the whole track and wouldn't be able to race the Ferrari's then.

Would have to take the corners normal, and the Ferrari's would thrash the Focus, Im sure! :wink:

The ferrari's can't use all their power on such a tight twisty track.
And their are no long straights in this track and the focus has good torque figure good response.
Here is picture of the layout of knockhill.
And he can drive the corners in a normal way.

Btw anyone here remember the video whit the ferrari f40 that was overtaken by honda civic in corners.

The ferrari is made for faster corners not for a small twisty track like knockhill where the fxx can't use it's 800 hp power.
And the focus is far from rice.

I think 'riced' is a little harsh. The cosworth is a cool car in my books. I don't think the FXX would completely trash it on that track either.

I believe the Focus has a chance when it is WRC spec, so with fancy diffs, electronics and torque. The car also needs another suspension setup. It pitches and rolls far too much to be fast on a track.

In the end the FXX is the ultimate track car with a lot of F1 technology, at least that is what Ferrari claims. I would definately set my money on the FXX.

I honestly don't know which is quicker. I know what my gut tells me, and that is the same as you - the FXX. There is just something telling me that give the cosworth the right driver and it may surprise a few people.

It still may not beat (or sound like) the FXX, but......it would be interesting, put it like that. 8)

But downforce only works at higher speeds.
Not in the slow corners.
Their has the ford focus the edge.
And my closing comment charles shaw the driver of the ford focus kowns knockhill pretty good.
