I think that was just a publicity stunt and bad one considering the target audience of the movie. They could have build a replica that looks exactly the same and smashed it and noone would have noticed the difference. Stupid!

I've seen numerous interviews withthe guythat made the movie and it was indeed a rearl car that was in perfect functioning condition when they wrecked it, jut slike the Enzo they smashed for the publicity stunt with Eddie Griffin.

It makes me sick to watch that. I just hope it is not a real CGT. To destroy something so special, that a group of dedicated people worked so hard and meticulously to design and build, for one shot in a movie is revolting. I think they've shown the crashed CGT a few times for promo purposes, it seems pretty real. Plus, I haven't seen any kit car that looks so like the real thing.

Well look at it this way. The CGT costs $450,000 (give or take), so take $200,000 to make a really really really nice kit car that no one could tell the difference in the movie, then you are still up $250,000 and you still have the car. :bah:
