I listen to mostly English, but good music is good music. I list a few international people, but I am kinda brain dead ATM, so it might be a short list LOL
From the middle eastern world, I like Ananda Shankar and Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, though a lot of there stuff is in English or instrumental.
I also like MC Solaar from France.
Thats all I can think of ATM

Damn, this is a cool thread, and just when I am sleepy, will go through it tomorrow :D
Could never be bothered with non-english music... (other than some cross over pop/rock) - all the other ethnic music either sounds like cats in a blender or unharmonious clatter ;)
Come to think of it - even all the anglo ethnic and herigtage stuff is an unharmonious clatter :P

SFDMALEX, is the difference between russian and ukranian too big?
Yea, kinda like French and Spanish I guess.
Roots of the words are all different, prefix's and stuff are more common.

Russian is extremly similar to Bulgarian. The roots all seem the same. And 80% of journalistic writing in Russian and Bulgarian actually share the same words.
I guess ukrainian would be more similar to polish then russian.
