This cant be right.................almost twice as much for the top of the line model. If that is the case, then the entry level GTR must not actually be a GTR.

Honestly I wouldnt believe those numbers for anything. I could see if we were getting different models like in the old days (ex. RWD GTS models) But I dont think we are. It will be one engine with AWD. Anything under this would be the new Infinity G37.

Anyway, thanks for the info, although i think its bogus....

i'm assuming you got those prices from a British magazine or something similar. i don't think will get the evolution here in the states. remember that everything on England is more than the US. i'll thik for the base will be like around 40k and the v-spec 60k

Guys.. a GTR is a very, very fast... and if you can afford the Z-Tune GTR... you can possibly have one of the fastest best handling cars.. i will upload a video tonite if some1 can host it of a the M5 M3 Gallardo 911 GTR Z tune going around a track in japan on a 5 lap battle.

Meh. That means nothing. Nissan GT-R test driver obviously would be better at driving a GT-R than a 911 and vice versa. As ludicrous as it is, the GT-R should cost around $50K to $80K knowing how the previous one was priced and such.

^^^ the previous one wasnt as powerfull as this one,and probably is better specced than the R34 was.thats the whole reason this car has shot up in price.just because its a Nissan doesnt mean it isnt worth the price if it has the performance and spec sheet to match :wink:

I dont care how much power it has. Nissan is not one of those brands that just crazily over charges for a car. It is no way this car will cost 100K. That shit is wrong.

The old ultra-track focus R34 V-spec nur didnt even cost 100K and it was a special edition.

Nissan's marketing group has more sense than that.

And 57K is NOT too much at all for a base model. With the performance this car will bring to the table it is NOT too much to have a base of 65K.

I agree, thats a big difference.

I kinda saw it as the Carrera C4S and the Turbo, thats a big gap between those 2 but with the Turbo you get a wing, a Turbo and some other small stuff..

now i wonder how much is going to be the mark-up for the GT-R? i used to work Mercedes and some AMG models were up to 20k mark up. example the G55 and the E63 wagon

The markup trend will probably be like that of an STi. Initially, it will be quite huge, I will say 10k, then 6 months later, it will be down to MSRP.
