Last friday I took some pics of this RS4. A new experience to me, as it is privately owned. Spent an afternoon with the owner, who wanted a nice poster for his garage. :)

Seems like it was shot at a fast shutter speed and high aperature with flash pointing down onto the car from the same angle as the camera. As for editing in photoshop I don't think he did anything too fancy.

Correct, but I used 2 flashes, one aimed at the back of the car, another aimed at the side.

I've been really into reverse engineering photos since I started reading strobist ;)
I just need to get my hands on some flashes! Sadly other than a new all-in-one lens, photo equipment isn't too high on my list of things to spend money on..

OMG ! Huge thanks mate, those B5 RS4 pictures are simply amazing. http://www.rs6.com/smilies/thumbsup.gif http://www.rs6.com/smilies/rs4addict.gif
I have more than 3600 pictures of the B5 RS4 and your pictures Martijn are among the best that I seen so far. Without a doubt you have a lot of skills to take every nice angles of my favorite car. Pictures of the month for the rest of the year IMO. :P :good:
Cheers.
Definitely cool flash work in sunny conditions!! :good:
Only prob is that imageshack lately is becoming VERY slow for many ppl, ence the pics take ages to load :D

Absolutely brilliant pictures! :good: :good: :good:
How did you do the x-ray bonnet pic? Is the blurring on the sides editing or was the car in motion when you took it? The only way I could ever do it was to shoot the car twice in the exact same spot, once with the hood up and once with it down then remove the hood in photoshop.
Great work though!

That's exactly what I did. Except that the car was driving in the hood-closed-pic. :)

Some guy from a cartest-webiste was looking for a photographer, 2 months ago. So I responded and did the Exige S shoot. They liked the pics, so they keep asking me. And apart from that recently people are approaching me now to shoot their car.
