The amount and variation of posts hasn't changed - its just that if you view by the "most recent" - you only see the the... uhm... lets see... the most recent not all new posts.

Looking at the "recent posts" has worked for me for more than 2 years. Its only recently that we are getting a lot of trash out there to wade thru.

Considering there are something 50 sub forums a lot of which I read or post in, it is not really practical to check each every one out.

I fully support nth's idea for bmw06m6 or speedkillar or any other news reporter about creating a single post and updating it with whatever newsworthy bit you want rather than creating a topic for every item.

I like Nths idea about the one single thread that gets updated. I remember logging on one time and went into the Breaking News section and saw about 12 new threads started by BMW06M6 and about 4 started by others that appeared in less than an hour. It doesn't really bother me too much other than the fact that it can get a little cluttered and most of BMW's topics are roughly about the same stuff so it makes sense to me to consolidate them. Just my opinion.

I feel that there is too much negativism/bashing/ill feeling that is being vented on the boards.

USA bashing, muslim bashing, Europe bashing whatever. 95% is unrelated to cars. Most of these seem to just provoke senseless arguments between people who should know better.

Even with cars you have the usual Corvette bashing which leads the "faithful" to bash European supercars. Kind of vicious cycle there.

I understand that some arguments are bound to happen. This is a pretty big forum and obviously conflicting ideas and arguments will arise during discussion. What gets me, is if such provoking threads are started, with statements made that have no read factual proof or backing, just badmouthing certain nations/religions.
