Audi B7 RS4 Avant indepth

Here is another indepth, and nice to complete the B7 RS4 lineup after the sedan (http://www.swisscarsightings.com/indepth/pages/indepthaudirs4b7.html) posted months ago!
Avant RS4.. yummy, a big hit in Switzerland, a real best seller! This car owner is providing me some fine indepths! After his EVO VII, it's the Audi turn and soon there will be a Porsche one, followed in the future by more I hope :)
Generous guy he is, and this mean I could have it a go, while chasing him in my BMW (yes, back then it was the pre-Porsche era).

So, here are the pics, not many because the weather quickly turned to shit that morning.

Personally, I don't really like those 18''rims on it, but they are very practical and suitable for RS4's winter wheels set. :wink:

actually those are the old RS6 wheels, used in the last generation RS6. They're quite popular with Audi peeeeeple. I agree though, that the 'new' RS4 wheels are nicer.


@Dani: Those 5 spokes are actually 18'' and those multi spokes you talked about are 19''. http://www.rs6.com/smilies/burnout.gif

@Everso: Here in Canada, the majority of RS6, RS4, TT and S4 owners put the popular Audi RS 9 winter wheels instead. Moreover, this 18'' B7 RS4 winter wheels aren't sold here. :?

Nice pics as usual Matteo - but why did the owner picked those ugly wheels instead of the 19in ones... if he's not using winter tyres? :hmm: :? anyway, considering the amount of B5 RS4 already in your roads... it was pretty obvious the B7 would be a huge HIT as it has been! :D

In his opinion the 18" are better dinamic wise, and since it is his daily drive, in town and so on, he doesn't want to risk the 19" on every curb ;)

I've already seen both the Sedan and Avant in flesh and I think that, unlike the regular A4, I prefer the Sedan ... What's your opinion TT ??

We were used with the B5 model, to only see Avant versions of the RS, but now that the B7 finally offers a sedan too, all of a sudden the Avant looks almost plain and boring, loosing much aggressivity IMO.
It still shows its muscles beware, but not as much as a red sedan would do.

Exactly the same here, the rear and front extended wings are really much more impressive on the Sedan's car :!:
