One minute I was listening to it, and the next it just stopped.

First I thought maybe a flat battery, but I had just recharged it, so that wasn;t it. It also doesn't do anything when I am actually charging it.

What could it be? :bah:

I have a mini and occasionally it freezes up (OMG, Apple products freeze too  ) so just do like Skalla said and hold the play and menu buttons and it will reset it and it should :crosses fingers: work

Were you ejecting it after recharging or loading some song onto it?

My friend's Nano died just like yours and then i discovered that he would just pull the cable off everytime he was recharging or loading songs, he didn't even know what the "ejecting" iPod was...

No I know how that works, didn't do anything like that. And if you did you should be able to reset it by holding the Menu and play buttons for 20 seconds :bah:

Did you try hooking it up to your computer and formatting it? You can do all kinda things to it through iTunes that might help.

For how long do you have it? have you recharched it many times?

Because according to Apple's website, batteries will eventually die. However it's a progressive thing not sudden.

^^ Ive got it for about a year now.. Recharged it about 2-3 times a week average.

Well all batteries have a "lifespan". Generally speaking each time you charge, the battery capacity will diminish. Again generally, Lithium Ions are the best batteries right now.

So 2-3 times a week = to 100-150 charges. The battery should not die that quickly.

My guess, the HD took a dump. Take it into an Apple Store and see what they say.

Well its off to Apple, seems that its a technical problem, so I can expect it back soon repaired, and thank god free of charge! :D
