View Full Version : Should we have a Bootleg Movie Section?
If so, I can make things good. First of all, we will all be using Bittorents (whoever don't know it, well it's a way of sharing files without a program. You upload and download at the same time, and it's very reliable). I will post bit torrents file of whatever movies I can find, and you guys just download them from there. Well, let's see if people are interested in this section.

Ha beav when did you ever worry bout that crap LOOOL rofl
well the thing work like this. first you download this client of them and install them. afterward, you just download the torrent file which have all the information of whoever in the whole world that's downloading or uploading the file. Then, you connect to a server or tracker which track everyone who's getting the file, and add you in it. It will connect you to whomever that is, and you will just download from them. If you're lucky you hit up a T1 server and get the file fast. But most of the times would be cable uploader around 30-100 kbs. On the mean time of downloading, you will have to upload your part of the job, even if you just started downloading, they will use whatever you have to share, and that's it.
And when you download the bit torrent file, you have to pick a place for it to save the movie file, which will be 600mb depending on the file, type and size. Afterward you have to downlaod teh whole thing to view it. Hopes it's clear, because I'm planning to put out madd movie and the client soon.

Heh, I guess I'm the only one who voted NO. I don't want to get Jabba into any kind of trouble.
Well that's the thing why I didn't post any files yet. If the man says no, then I'll just stop.

Funny enough its something that I have been thinking about alot recently as I have the best quality versions (CTP) of T3, 2 fast 2 furious, Hulk and Italian Job ETC
I really think it could be pushing our luck though to post these...I mean the other programmes are copyrighted I post...but people arnt exactly being charged money to see them at the theatre...and I have been left alone by my ISP even though we thought some of the porn might get us into trouble...I really thnink the movies could be the thing that breaks the camels back however...and I wonder if its worth the risk of being closed down...and loosing everything we have created ???
Well Jabba, The thing that made most of the other sites shut down is because they got popular and news start spreading. But bit torrent sites are hardly shut down, and all I'm going to do is, just get the Bit file and pass it out. That is not illegal, for passing out bit torrent files what is only 48kb. Yeah I downloaded all the CTP and the quality are super AWESOME!

yeh thats why I am considering shutting the membership now...so we could be even more naughty...and I will have more videos for fewer people...if you kinda follow me...by all means feel free to post your files...but dont make them over obvious...

I tend to agree Jabba, at least with it closed we pretty well have a idea of who's who. and it also makes it rather difficult for outsiders to see whats going on since they cant get in to view the forums.
Dont let it get like RF with its now (gads !!!) 94,000 or so members!!! Gawd I freaked when I saw the numbers yesterday!!!

i definetly agree with Krazy on this one.. if you're gonna do it, it's gotta be a low number of people (like it is now), and don't make it obvious.. and everyone will be happy :D

the harder it is for an outsider to find the vids and get to them the better and the longer before this place is flooded by lawsuits

How about passing out the files through Private Messeges and not talking about it here. I know it seems a little extreme, but this way Jabba couldn't get in trouble for it. If he doesn't know it's happening, he can't get in trouble for it right?
I'm all about free movies, I've downloaded many of them from Kazaa.
Jabba, a quick look through the member list shows a crapload of members with 0 posts. Do you know if they have been downloading the movies? If I were you I would start deleting inactive accounts.
A special forum for certain members might work, but Jabba would still be liable.
I think it's hard to have lawsuit with bit torrents, because all you doing is giving out bit torrent files. The movie is not included in any of these files. Plus I have see alot of bit torrent sites still alive and non so far have any lawsuit against them.

Key words "so far". Just because it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't.
And also I must add that it's hard for a user to find this site. And IF, they find this site, it's impossible for them to view the posts without registering. Plus I know Jabba will stop the registration once this thing go LIVE.

To be honest this place was not set up for "warez" it was set up for the posting of car videos and discussion relating to cars and other male interests...the content that has already been posted is already starting to push our luck...and I really dont want to keep pushing until we get closed down....at that time we would then have nothing...no current top gear...no new series 5th gear...and no more clarkson ripps...etc...etc....
therefore I have decided not to open a warez section...but obvisouly I have no control over what you disccuss over private messenger systems....
if you are unsure whether something maybe unsuitable to post...then a quick PM will get you a speedy answer....
sorry if you think this is a harsh or gutless decision...but I have invested alot of time and a small amount of money into this site...as have many other members...and I wouldnt want to see it all go down the pan for the sake of a few commercial movies...
thanks
Jabba
arite, guess it's time for me to think of a way to do all these thru PM. heheh
Plan B
Jabba is right! :)
It would be to risky and it would be sad to see this wonderfull place closed for warez that weren't included in the original idea...

I agree with most people that this forum should stay clear of warez. The following site would satisfy most people's needs http://www.suprnova.org.
