Well, I'm not entirely sure if you can. If you download and install (it's free) Spybot: Search and Destroy, it'll remove the ads on the DAP download screen. It won't stop the speedbit popup that occurs once in a while though. As for AIM, I can't help you.

use the hosts file, or get peergaurdian and add the ips to that

try searching the web for a HOSTS file install and replace it with the one windows comes with. Or if you dont trust the dload (which can do no harm), you can add the links manually editing the HOSTS file located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc (XP ONLY). Just follow the examples replacing other website addresses with the ones you want to block. (Or crack DAP like I did)

what you need is a pop up blocker...there´s a small one called POW! from http://www.analogx.com/welcome.htm...give it a try...pretty easy to use and it´s efective...

i have a popup blocker and no popup blockers that i know of can completely block a web address from bothering your computer, all a popup blocker does is save you the energy of closing the windows that come up. that's why the title of this thread is about blocking url's, not pop ups
and for you other guys, please speak in basic computer-illiterate english so i can understand
thank you
