The primary hard drive on my main rig gave up the ghost (died).
This is a sad day.

Fortunately not much. This rig has 4 hard drives in it equaling a little over a terabyte in space. The primary holds the OS programs/games and the other three are for storage. The storage ones are fine (though I think one of the SATA drives is about to die too), but since they started to fill up I began putting stuff on the primary. So the lastest acquisitions in the last few months is what I lost.
I just don't feel like installing the OS and tweaking it up again. I am also making the move to Seagate drives. Through the years I have tried Maxtor (Maxtor is junk) and Western Digital. Maybe the Seagates will last longer.

Thanks for reminding me I have to buy another 320gb Seagate and setup RAID..
Is it totally dead? you might be able to salvage some data by using symantec ghost to force and image out of it..

I was able to pull some data from it, but some items unfortunately were lost.

every hard drive has its pornometer, and after x months of use will check the porn %, if the porn % does not keep increasing at every check the drives dies from mistreatment
