Here we are again: the Geneva motorshow is here and I just finished editing all my pics. No needless words, I am tired and have no time, but enjoy!

Click any preview to be taken to the full 307 pics update (cars + babes)

To be honest I am not that happy with the results. Many pics are overxposed or quality isn't top notch.. couple a new lense with full manual settings and this is the result, but well, you have to learn from your mistakes :bah:

I resisted till 2:30 am, but since I need to drive 4 hours today, I needed to get some sleep!

BTW, as last year I met Komotar, and as last year, it was just a quick one. And he is such a nice and enthousiastic guy!

I hope to meet you outside the motorshow one day dude, because it's a hell of a nightmare to just say a quick hello and have to move on!

YEah I don't think the pics are bad either, always a tough environment to shoot in!

Soooo many cars, impossible to comment on all....

New Maser - nice except for the rear lights.

Lambos - steal the show again, nothing super new but they are just sooo sexy.

That black/black Evo IX is STUNNING!!!!

Techart 997 GT Street - evil!!

Did the upcoming 2008 WRX make an appearance?

Got distracted by the lady, forgot about the car

I know I'm gonna 'experience' the show in some days... but what are your impressiones of the new Maser GT, the Jag CXF and the Spyker Zagato? is the last as disgusting as it seems in the pics?!...

:D Very nice Matteo !! Thank you a lot for this report, I love this 250 GT California  And the Zonda too. How are the Maserati and the Zagato Spyker in flesh :?:

Maser - ugly: too japanese, too big, too dull. really disappointed. The blue one looked slightly better but overcrowded and I didn't took pics. I hope it will be better once we'll see it on the road!

Jag - cool!! Bulky, sporty, agressive. Me likes

Spyker Zagato - ugly shit. wasted time IMO, it's as ugly as in the pics

BTW, sorry for the others but it seems the most beautiful of the show, the California Spider, isn't there anymore :(

Thanx TT!

WTF are you talking about bad pics? will you post them too?

You're all very kind, but pay attention and you'll see plenty of overexposed pics, or some where the back of the car isn't sharp, as well as some where quality is not perfect (no idea why). Also, in many cases I didn't have the patience to wait for the crowd to go away

Stunning pics, absolutely STUNNING :)

Thanks. You're right, I'm gonna change it when I'll find the strenght :D

tons of cool pics TT!

My favorite shot is the one you have in your sig, the Superleggra with the cover on it :P

and, although I like the white uniforms on the Lambo babes, from what I can tell from the pics the Lambo babes at the NAIAS were much more impressive :bah:

Special thanks to you TT for your great Geneva Motorshow 2007 coverage, I very like your beautiful Cars & Babes pictures. http://www.rs6.com/smilies/thumbsup.gif

The Audi R8, Apollo, Lambo Gallardo & LP640, Porsche GT3 (RS), Spyder RS are always nice. :good:

The new cars which have seduce me now are: Alfa Romeo 8C, Koenigsegg CCGT and the Zonda F.

The new E90 M3 is perhaps powerful, but damn it looks so ugly. :bad:

WOW!! Nice pics!! I wasn't expecting a coverage so soon!

The Alfa 8C looks nice in black, but it might not be the best color cause it's not easy to see the real beauty of the car.

The M5 Wagon looks great in blue. The pic is really cool ! :o I never expect it to be so good looking.

Fab Design  Who the f*** are these guys, are they drunk or what ?? who's gonna buy their ugly car ?!

Koenigsegg CCGT looks insane, can't wait to hear that engine!

The Gallardo Superleggera is a disappointment. The only exterior differences are the wheels and that ugly spoiler. Too bad it's not as hard as the 360 CS or the GT3 RS.
I loved the LP640 in white with the black wheels.

The Lotus Exige GT3 looks insane !!

A tuned Phantom  really unexpected. But the style doesn't match with the car!!

I loved the Morgan Aero 8 GT3. Really cool !!

The Zonda with the CF body and those dark wheels is just stunning !!  Can' t wait to see pics in the day light.

Sbarro Turbo 20 Ans !?! Never heard about it, but it's wonderful. Any specs ?

TT
03-07-2007, 08:13 PM
As for the new Sbarro, it celebrated the 20th years of "turbo", the french tv program. no idea about the specs or the real name actually

Ferrai's stand wasn't interesting at all.. you know, red 430, silver 612  we've all seen that, and as always it was overcrowded with ppl. So I just avoided it.

Only F to be seen was the priceless Califonia Spider (well, valued at around 3 milion euros I think) which wasn't on their stand of course.

The ladies were great on their stand though and I took pics of them obviously ;)

BTW, forgot to say I saw Pulling Power's black idiot in Geneva..

Great work TT,

I know how difficult these shows can be to photograph, especially those white Murcielago's, very difficult to get a correct exposure on everything, but they still look amazing.

It all takes a lot of time, it's not only taking the photographs, it's editing them, taking them in PhotoShop, changing levels, sharpness ... stuff like that all takes minutes per photo ... but think about 300 photo's and you're talking about hours of work.

All the more reason a massive work like TT's is highly appreciated, thanks man !

Dude, really awesome pics, my ones are not even close ... it was just too much work and the rush shows ... and I really that I could also concentrate on the exotics ...

I did about 900-1000 photos the first day and about 450 the next  :D

My schedule: Worked from 7 till 7, drove to the hotel in Annesy which is in france and about 80 km's away, ate something really quick, and then worked untill 4am. Slept untill 5:30 am, and the off to the show where I walked and walked, sat behind the comp all the time , got to the hotel at about 8 and ate something, and then worked till 1am and the today, I got up at 6 and wen't to the show again to to the last vid and then I drove for 8 hours and now I'm writing this post ...

I won't post any car pics,,,maybe just the best 10 or 20, but I will prepare the "ladies" pics, like I always do.

And yes, it killed me just to chat for a few minutes :x

Got to meet up somewhere else and some other time :D

well, I sometimes I think my boss is a lunatick, but somehow, we're able to pull it off, we (4 people, the cameraguy, the editor and another guy) work like mad, but we get A LOT done in two days, more than almost everyone else probably, and the results show, and after all is over, we're half dead, but really satisfied with ourselves ... in Slovenia, we're almost always first and definitly always the most complete media when it comes to car shows ans such ... 8)

Yes, and aboute 2 kg less

I know I am not a market expert, but hell, Lambo shouldn't have paid attention to customers' request and just launch a real hardcore Gallardo. This one, full of nice carpet, awd and all would make an F40 owner laugh for ours on the term "superleggera" :bad:... I really hope they have something else in the pipeline to please hardcore drivers wanting to use it mostly on track

inso
03-09-2007, 11:54 AM
They could have doubled the weight loss with dropping the 4wd, I guess the problem is from the Audi, it is like admitting that rwd is the way to go for absolute thrills..

And giving some more juice from the engine should not have been such a big trouble, just raise the compression ratio a little and demand higher octane fuel.

1200kg and 550-570hp, that would have been a killer.

TT
03-09-2007, 12:01 PM
Apparently the decision to stick with AWD is due to STRONG clients desire to leave it like that :bah:

Just a small question TT, Im going to the Dutch carshow this month, any tips on camera settings?

TT
03-13-2007, 03:37 AM
Well, it's not easy to give suggestions. If you want to go the secure way, just take a tripod, aperture priority, set an F around 8, 10, or anyway "high", use the timer or a remote control and it should be fine. I did like this in the past and never had problems, alternatively, you put it in speed priority, set 0,5 or 1 sec and the camera will judge the aperture. Most of the time it would be fine, but sometimes cameras jsut go crazy. As said already, this year I went the full manual way as I always shoot like that lately, but it's not easy if it's the first time indoor. I can't remember what camera you have, but if it's a compact, keep min ISO, or else the noise will be too much. If it's a reflex, you can easily use ISO 400 and still have plenty acceptable noise and in that case you might not need a tripod. If the show is well lit, you should be able to shoot at 1/60, 1/80 or faster speeds using higher ISO.
Also, if light is "weird" you might need to set the white balance setting to something different that "auto".
Anyway, there are no real and 100% correct suggestions as every camera, lense, and car show, is different
