Well a Jeep isn't the best platform for 600+ hp, and does anyone seriously need 600+ hp to go grocery shopping?

so now only the best platforms deserves the power?

that rules out pretty much all classic ferraris, and lamborghini's.... and seems to be coming full circle with all these LP640 crashes.. and how many 360's and so on are on wreaked exotics?

And the platform is sound for that power, the SRT8 Jeep is no regular jeep... Are you a guy who would suggest a Cayenne Turbo is overkill?

Why can't people getting groceries have stupd fastness at thier disposal? again, why not?

I think its awsome. Nobody would complain about A Cayanne or an X5 with 600 hp so why not the Jeep.

Its the best off all worlds. Extreme Speed. Extreme ruggedness. Awsome practicality and one of the best automatic transmissions in the world! Go HENN!!

I do not think this jeep would qualify as extreme ruggedness. Huge rims and low profile tires, lower, lower body kit. Exposed turbo on the bottom- cannot be good for off roading. Gravel roads only. But still an awesome fast machine, my parents have a 2000 grand cherokee, sure wish it had 600+hp.

Well I was really talking more about the build quality of Jeeps. They can withstand some shit. You are right though, no off roading for this Jeep!

Me likes, but i guess it would cost a fortune to run as a daily driver :)

It's cool that they give Jeeps the SRT treatment just to show it can be done but I really prefer Jeeps in off-road trim.

I like the car, much respect for it.

But unfortunately Speedkillar is right, only soccer mums will probably drive it sadly, at least over here...

^Somehow I don't think this car is going to see a lot of children or groceries. Or women, except hot ones. This looks like a car a rapper or a mafioso would buy.

To be honest, I find this car oddly enticing.

The Cayenne Turbo still can off road and be fast.

The Jeep seems to be just fast.

This doesn't help even if it's a $70K vehicle.
FUEL ECONOMY:
C/D-observed fuel economy: 8 mpg

Shit I'll take a Z06 any day over this with way better gas mileage!

Because it's silly, just like the Cayenne is.

But still cool ;)

Because its not exactly safe to have some one drive hap hazardly in such a large and powerful car.

And yes, I think the Cayenne Turbo is overkill. Then again, I hate the Cayenne despite it being a great suv.

I don't like these cars but they are cool in some way..

Anyway they might be fast on the straight, I would love to see that thing in the corners..

First, no hi po car is safe.... further no normal car is safe, no exotic is safe, no sportscar is safe.. we better get off the streets, and walk everywhere... or bike... wait, those aren't safe either... hapazards are abound everyhwere, and eventually, perhaps you will see that more power gives you the ability to drive defensively much better by avoiding hapazards ;)

When is wretched excess in power too much? or is this only limited to SUV's in your mind? Why only SUV's? Why not also have it be too much in car's? The SR71 is too fast, the Concord is too fast..... more can go wrong, so they shouldn't be flown, right?

inso

Concordes arenīt flown, since they are old and unsafe..

Cayenne and SRT8s might not be nimble sportscars, but yes they do their business none the less. 997turbo is too heavy too be a nimble sportcar, but yes I would like one, and some big fast SUV would be nice too :)

Life is choices, if one doesnīt like, others might, and they have every right to do so.

Concordes arenīt flown, since they are old and unsafe..

Wrong!

The Concordes were withdrawn with the main reason that they weren't profitable anymore!
