In my opinion, the best World War 2 series ever made has got to be Speilbergs epic masterpiece "Band of Brothers" which was released as an HBO TV series.

My favorite WW2 movie of all time would have to be "Das Boot", which I saw for the first time ever in a special limited "remastered" release in the theatre (which was a freakin AWESOME experience I might add) but if I ranked it alongside Band of Brothers I'd have to say Band of Brothers comes out ahead. It pretty much ever so slightly improves on every great element of Das Boot......apart from suspense maybe hehe.

So, what do you guys think? Post your thoughts on the best WW2 movies/TV series of all time.

Band of Brothers takes the cake for me. As far as movies go... i would have to say Saving private ryan... also a great one, but IMO not on the same level as BOB.
