I am currently in a split decision. Im thinking about either modding my Fiesta ST, or buying a new car. Theres a 190bhp upgrade kit for the Fiesta st which should give me a better bhp/ton figuire than a new car. But a new car is fun becuase its so much fun getting something totally new So ive set out searching for a answer.

The meagan F1 R26 whatever its called looks impressive but its too ugly in my oppinion and is over 20k. Another car Ive been looking at ever since the first concept was the new Civic type R (FN2) I dont have a bad thing to say about this car only little quibbles, like the dash which is akward and it has a little rev needle which u cant see, and when you consider its got 8000revs aswell. Interior is the best ive seen in a car this price aswell, its purley awesome with a awesome sound. But it did feel a bit too refined for a typeR. It was even comfier than my fiesta ST. Im sure my ST could outcorner it in the twisties aswell if only by abit. The engine is the main selling point tho, its so smooth and sounds great.

On wednesday I drive the Focus ST. Completely opposite to the TypeR engine wise. It has loads of torque, 5 cylinders 2.5 liters and a turbo. Also it has a relistic figuire of around 18mpg. So that puts me off abit, and I rather like the fact the honda is more or less just as quick with a NA engine. The focus ST's interior it propper bland compared to the TypeR, and the renault is laughably bad! Once I drive the focus Ill update.

Also theres two cars from litchfield imports which im intrested in. The DC5 integra and the WRX. Both 16k. If anyone has some input or suggestions im glad to hear. Especially from someone whos driven boths cars and can compare the good and bad points.

GTI?

when i drove a GTI, i was pretty impressed. It's very well built, and loads of fun to drive with a growly 2.0T. Pretty tuneable as well.

if i lived in the UK, i'd get an Alfa 147 GTA...even though it would break down....

I just dont have any kind of intrest in the golf, im not sure why not. Ive never had owt for the alphas either. Im not saying there bad or anything, its just not me.

I'd go for a WRX - especially a Litchfield one since it won't be as slow as those shitty stock WRXs! :P

Saw one of those Meganes on the w/e (blue with black wheels), looks real tough from the front but ugly from the rear. Overpriced IMO.

litchfield WRX would be pretty cool 8) . Would it be like the one Plato drove on 5th gear, only less powerful or what?

Personally, I like the Honda, bullit-proof reliability, excelent bulid quality, good handing, good power, a motor that loves to be revved. Throw a set of adjustable shocks on the car and you would be very suprised what you could outrun. Its an excellent car, and its a Honda, and thats pretty hard to beat. I do agree about the dash, its a little weird, but one of my friends has a new SI (same dash) and says that you get used to it and you can figure out a seating position that is perfect, while being able to see both speed and revs. Cool car, would prob be what I would get for the money, if only I had the money....

Basically be a standard WRX......but an imported one.if im correct imported WRX's in the UK have the ECU remapped to run our fuel, but they tend to re-map it to the higher octane fuels only, usually 98 octane or higher therefore giving imported WRX's maybe 20-30hp more than our own standard WRX's. :D

I would like the WRX for its 4WD system, The honda's for there vtec, the focus ST for its engine not and torque, so while im saving up im trying to eliminate each car one by one.

The Civic TypeR is the best car in my oppinion. The looks do grow on you. But why we only get 198bhp when japan gets 225bhp I do not know? I'd feel scamed! So maybe the DC5? For for the same price I could get the WRX. Same power (more actually) as the DC5, 2.5 like the focus but the insurance is a killer! So I just need a balance.

But I drive the focus ST tommorow, it might enlighten me.
