GTHD Ranking System - Sorry, wrong section

Yo, does anybody know how the GTHD ranking system works. I am waiting to get my PS3, but i played my friends yesterday and I ran some time trails with the base R32 GTR and the tuned Integra and withing 5 mins on both , "according to the ranking stystem", was ranked No. 8 and No. 4.

Is the rankings set by fastest of the day or is it overall? Is it nationwide or what? I think im pretty good at GT, but I wouldnt think I would beat that many ppl within 5 mins of playing the game.

Somebody tell me something!!

I think its fastest of the week and reset every weekend, but there was a bit of changing done so it might or might not be the same. Maybe they just reseted it today?
