Any recommendations on a game pad for the PC? I had a crappy logitec that looked like a PS2 controller... still works but the buttons stick which makes it pretty much worthless.

I've heard you can also use XBox 360 controllers with a PC, but are there any other great game pads out there?

I gave away a vintage gravis pad a while ago, the best pad you can get imo.

My friend has a wireless logitech, with two analogs, not quite PS2 like but its very solid.....Was 35$ or something like that.

I remember those old gravis pads from back in the day.. damn shame Kensington bought them up and now do not even manufacture gamepads.

I'll take a look at the logitech as it seems they are the only ones still making quality stuff.

Thanks

I have been using the Saitek P2500 for a few years and I'm very happy with it. A few friends of mine got it too after I recommended it and are also happy with it.

I would go with the 360 controller depending on what you want to use it for.

I plan on using it for old school games such as mario bros, street fighter, etc (using an emulator) and driving games. I'm not to sure if I'm ready to get a wheel as my setup is still in works and I don't know if I could properly implement a wheel in such a way it would feel like i'm really sitting in a car.

For driving games its hard to beat a wheel, but you cant beat an XBOX gamepad IMO. The variable triggers for brake/throttle give you alot more control then buttons for brake/throttle.

I never really liked using the triggers for brake/throttle. I really like the pressure sensitive buttons on PS2 dual shock controllers though..
