Im not all that impressed to be honest. But then again I know the trick now. A roomate of my best friend in college could do it in sub minute times. Essentially theres a set of like 5 moves, and repeated over it ultimately will always lead to a solved puzzle.

Not true. There are different algorithms but there is no magic repeating pattern. It is true that a cube can be solved from any position in 52 moves or less although that takes too much awareness to do at speed.

The guy in the video got a lucky solve. World records are established with an average of 10 consecutive solve times. My best time ever was 52 seconds. I used the less effecient top-down method as opposed to the keyhole.
