can you really make money off the internet?

for quite a while now i have been trying to make some money off the internet. most of these "make 5000$ an hour" things are bloody scams. So is there some way of making money off the internet? I heard quite a lot of people talking about these online surveys which you get paid to do. are they real? how much do you get? a google search gave me this site :

not while being "lazy", as an entrepreneur ofcourse its possible to make loads of money, but doing this sorta stuff... usually pays about 10 cents (yes cents) per survey or sumn... not worth the effort really

In my case it worked really well the first couple of months but now I only get 1$ a month.

I make money by receiving ads on my cellphone :') I simply delete them, and I get the amazing amount of €0,07 per ad! :P Well, I've already earnt about 7 euro's, and this is the company I won the Ferrari drive from so I ain't complaining :D

I think it is entirely plausable, and possible to make a "real product/profits" web page. Ebay did it... some of the others, i'm not yet convinced they are actually generating real money... some are, for sure...

I've been there, don't do it.

I once tried such surveys. I figured I was online often enough I could maybe pick up an extra 5 dollars a day or some such thing. Anyway, there are a few legitimate survey sites. However, they barely pay. Some sites pay you with a chance to win some large advertised sum of money (yeah right) and are pretty hopeless.

Some surveys are evil and force you to sign up for "free" trials in order to receive some random giftcard etc. The trial companies often start free but are difficult to get out of. Stamps.com for example seems legitimate except that the only way to get out before you have to start paying is to call them. They have very few people to receive calls so it is near impossible during daylight hours. Anyway, just stay away from anything that makes you do any "free trials."

All in all, surveys ask or a ton of personal info and then FLOOD you email account. Luckily i had an extra one just in case. That account is now flooded with over TEN THOUSAND junk emails less than a month old.

Saying I was interested in cars brought in a lot of junk email. In summary, legitimate sites don't pay enough to make it worth your time. Signing up for surveys is a good way to ruin an email account.

If you want to make money online, try selling some of your junk on ebay. Dont expect any huge returns from ebay though. Even better is trading stocks . . . or more specifically stock options (less risk and more reward when managed properly). That's what I do to get a few bucks online. :)

im not sure about making money online, but if you wanna make money without working hard, i suggest put yourself up for medical experiments, the drug trials and all... :)

they might screw you up, but hey .. luk at the bigger picture, you would be helping tons of peaple with their treatment... :D

Unless you don´t have a great new idea like the guys that invented YouTube you´ll hardly make any money over the internet IMO.
