In Istanbul we pay 9TL ( 5 euro - 6.5 us dollars) for student tickets and 11TL (6.2 Euro - 8 US dollars) for adult ticket in normal theatre (not the luxurious or VIP ones). In smaller cities it is about 5TL (2.6 Euro - 2.8 US dollars) for student tickets and 7 TL ( 3.2 euro - 5 US dollars) for adult tickets.
What about you guys?

Prices have gone up recently in Houston. 9.00 USD 8.00 USD students 7.50 USD seniors. Before 5pm its now 7.50USD. Large popcorn and a large drink bought together as a package is 10.00USD. So a movie date is now 28.00USD (if you know the girl well)

All days are the same, it would suck if it were higher on Friday and Saturday night.

7.50usd, but if you dont have money then you could go to one of those one dollar movie theaters, but all they have is movies that are no longer playing in the big movie theaters, and i doubt you would wanna take a girl to one of these.

You guys have it bad. In Poland a student ticket costs anything between 15 and 20 zloty which is 4-5 euros.

We have 3 cinemas. One is a big one with 10 little cinemas inside. Ticket is there 2,5€ before 12am or something and after that its about 8€. New movies will be there first. But if you wait 2 weeks or so then the same movies will be in other cinema and then the ticket is almost 2€ all day long. Maybe the prices are bit different. I don't visit cinemas very often. Last time I watched Apocalypto and this was quite good.

2 tickets: 9.00 ea
1 popcorn and 1 coke: 10.00
sharing the coke cause its not the first date: priceless

LA movie prices are pretty high considering they don't have to ship the film very far.

Anywhere from $5-$10. Although non-mainstream theatres cost a lot more.

9 dollars for a regular ticket after the student discount. 6 bucks for a matinee. There are cheaper smaller theatres too that generally have older movies. They can cost as little as 2 dollars.

I usually only see a couple of movies in the theatre each year.
