Xbox 360 and Acer 22" LCD

Ok after downloading a patch that enables the 1080i/p or what ever the hell is ... i tought its time to get a wide screen..

so off i went to my local dealer and got a (PC) LCD screen

Acer FPW22" or something or a rather with DVI input.

anyway took it home hooked it up.. and the fired up the xbox360...

WOW what a clear image.. so i went into the display reso setting and cranked it up to 1080i/p what ever and ........ it didn't work .. upscale, downscale .. all shit, doesn't work .. so im playing at at 760 i think but still awesome quality i must admit.

But back to my point native res is almost close to 1080 but it doesn't do it ... HOW MAJORLY gay is that...... i thought ok let me play it with Test drive and see the difference and...

what awesome scenery... car detail roads tracks speeed.. thrill... after 6-7 hours of playing that and buying my enzo, murchi, gt40 and konnonigigngnigisig. I thought ill try my favorite game on the xbox.... FORZA woot woot..

there i am in my couch glued to my screen and i pop it in. power up the device sit in my seat further down and watch the load screen to be greated with a warning saying UPGRADE THE CODES FOR THE GAME OR IT WONT WORK YOU LOSER.. so i upgrade reboot and get back into my position... and then again ANOTHER UPGRADE.. i think i did this about 4 times and finally it was over.. ALL OVER..

I power up for the last time saying this is it... NOW ???? controller battery dies ... so off i go to the local milk bar(market) on my motorbike to get some batteries. i buy some lithium batteries and walk out. Jump back on the bike and start to ride home @ this point its a wonderful day and im heading home to play forza, on my mind i have the nurburgring track and my tuned 355 challenge ready to go....

BANG... tumble.. roll KO ...... thats all i remember... i've hit a oil slick on the road from a leaking diesel or something and the bikes front tyre has slided away from under me and sent me flying off the bike.. with my batteries in my pocket and forza on my mind.. i hit the ground and tumble head over heels about 7-9 times (witness)... there i am on the ground for 10 minutes(witness) Knocked out. bleeding and mangled up... did i mention blood ?

I finally wake thinking wtf ... where am i.. why am on the ground.. where is my bike... i need to move . get up denis.. get up .. move ya leg.. breath.. breath... i finally breath and finally regain my movement and manage to remove my helmet. I gather my strength and stand up with help from a old lady(ironic) i move to the side to see the ambulance coming up the road. and my bike parked on a gutter damaged. Its a dream im thinking to my self. i felt the batteries in my pocket and thought thank god.. i dont know why i walk to my bike.. and look at it.. thinking to my self im lucky that i didnt run over cause it was peak hour traffic and so forth.

Ambulance comes and they put me in the back and ask me questions which i got about 90% right lol off i go to the hospital get patched up sent home. unable to walk or move my left arm propperly...

Ok so i sit on my couch and think to my self now for some racing lol stupid me ignoring im in pain, i crank her up with the new remote batteries. And i get Greated with a message on my Xbox 360... UPDATE TEH GAME ......

@ this point i was kinda angry... really annoyed and had enough anger in me to haul my injured arse out of bed and across the room to the xbox and reboot it to play the game after the upgrade... I move back and yes finally .. xbox logo.. no warning screens and ........................

!!!!!!!! THIS GAME DOES NOT SUPPORT VGA INPUT !!!!!!!!!!

Here i am.. all banged up.. the game is patched more then Frankenstein, new batteries in the controller and a new WIDE screen LCD and i get this error... i reboot nothing same shit.. again and again.. I know the game works so why not on VGA wtf is the difference ????what is the difference of a LCD/VGA input to that of a LCD TV COMPONENT INPUT ??? i asked xbox support ... and they had the nerve to tell me its not supported...

i said what about 100% backwards supported ??? They said to a degree i said your a moron to a degree. @ which point his angry at me.. so i said look mate whether you help me or not YOUR STILL GETTING PAID ... so dont give me attitude. I PAID WITH MY MONEY to get this console to play this game and other games your console and it wont do it.. whats the go, BILL... whats the friggen GO ??? what my money isnt good enough, my request isnt good enough for a friggen old game to work on a console.. HELL if my PC can emulate a atari game IM SURE YOUR CONSOLE can do the same for my game in wide screen thats an LCD with VGA input cables that are genuinely XBOX360 ones that i also happened to have paid money for....................................ARAGGGGGGGH HHHHHH

so the moral of the story... i dont know but hell it felt good talking about it...

Glad to hear your ok after your little bump on the head. Thats really scary stuff man, glad to hear its all good though. Makes a crappy day even worse I imagine.

As for the 360, Forza is backward compatable, it might just not be compatable with the VGA cables for some odd reason. Microsoft at its best right there :roll: :lol: . That freakin sucks. And the upgrades were for backwards compatability and patches for the game, I had to do the same thing.

I think the moral of the story is, but corded controllers :wink: :lol:

Yep, I have had days like that when you just get the feeling that something is not destined to work no matter what you do, kinda like forces are working against you or something.
